Week 9: Richmond

Welcome back everyone! NASCAR heads to Richmond this week to make it two short tracks in a row, and we love that. Last week we had a really good week overall. For most of the race, the picks all ran in the top 6 and William Byron even stayed in the top ten all day. Martin Truex Jr. ended up with the big win, which was not one of my main picks, but I did throw some money on him. So, no complaints here.
This week's race should be a good one. Even though I would strongly prefer NASCAR to run Richmond during the night time, this track always produces some really good racing. As a matter of fact, back when Richmond was the race just before the playoffs, it made for some of my favorite NASCAR moments of all time.

Who Am I Betting?
Denny Hamlin +600 comes in as my favorite this week. I have decided to bet on the #11 car until he wins a damn race. Denny has run up front all year long and has an average finish inside of the top 5. It's just a matter of time until he parks it in victory lane. Much like Martinsville, Richmond is deemed as one of Hamlin's home tracks and he has had some really good runs, and very big wins at this track. Mark my words, Denny Hamlin will be in the running to win on Sunday, and I wouldn't be surprised if he dominates the whole race.

I am going to give Brad Keselowski +700 another shot at winning me some money this week. Brad is a tough one to count on in 2021. He has not been very consistent, and the last time I bet on him it seemed like he would have a chance, until he dropped out of the top ten and laid an egg for the rest of the race. However, if he ever had a chance to help me and my fellow bettors out any, this would be the week. Brad won the Fall race at Richmond last year, and has always been a front runner at this track. I will give "Bad Brad" one more shot to line my pockets this week.

New car, new colors, new team, same talent. I can't pass up Kyle Larson +700 this week in Richmond. Larson is great on this race track, and Hendrick Motorsports is extremely quick overall this year. Just a couple of years ago, Larson won at Richmond in the #42 car, which we all know now is wayyy shittier equipment than what he is driving at Hendrick. Should be a really good showing for the #5 this week.

Sprinkle of the Week
I am really excited about my "Sprinkle" pick for this week. Christopher Bell +2000 has amazing bettor's odds and he has a great past on this racetrack. As a matter of fact, C Bell once dominated an Xfinity race by such a margin at Richmond, that it literally put me to sleep. Now don't get me wrong, a lot of NASCAR races put me to sleep, but almost never at Richmond. I can see Bell running up front all day on Sunday, and if he does that, there is a good chance that he can bring us all a BIG payday.
